What are the general requirements to hire a car?

You must hold a valid driver’s license for at least one year and meet the minimum age requirement of 21 years old.

When renting a car from YOU Drive Car Rental Naxos, please ensure that you have your driver’s license with you. Additionally, you will need to present a valid ID or passport for identification purposes.

If you are an international driver, you are also welcome to rent from us as long as you possess a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) along with your home country driver’s license. We accept driving licenses issued by European Union countries, as well as International Driving Licenses.

How can I pay for my reservation?

We offer flexible payment options to make your car rental experience as convenient as possible. You can choose to either prepay the total cost of your reservation online or make a 30% deposit using any major credit card, such as Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Diner’s, or Masterpass Wallet, as well as bank transfer. The remaining 70% of the total amount is due upon your arrival at our location.

This means that you can secure your reservation in advance with a deposit, and then pay the balance when you arrive at our office. Our team is dedicated to making your rental experience smooth and hassle-free, so you can enjoy your travels with peace of mind.

Can I change my reservation? Is there a charge?

To modify your reservation, simply submit a written request via e-mail or our website’s contact form. We don’t charge any modification administration fees, so you can make changes with ease. However, please keep in mind that any changes to your booking will be subject to recalculation based on current availability and prices. This means that the price may be either higher or lower than the original amount you booked.

In the event of any issues with the car, what should I do?

In the unfortunate event of a car breakdown or any other issues with the vehicle, please contact our rental office immediately. Our dedicated customer support team is available 24/7 to assist you with your concerns and provide prompt roadside assistance or a replacement vehicle, as necessary. Rest assured that our well-maintained fleet undergoes regular inspections to minimize any potential problems and ensure a hassle-free rental experience.

What is the policy for returning the car late?

In the event of a delayed return, we may impose a Late Return Charge to cover the expenses we bear in finding a replacement vehicle for our upcoming bookings and the administrative costs associated with contacting you to retrieve the car.

Can someone else drive my rental car?

If you wish for someone else to drive the rental car, please note that they must be officially declared and have their details recorded in the lease agreement as an additional driver. This is because the insurance coverage will only apply to drivers listed in the rental agreement, and not to any other individuals who may drive the car.

How much does it cost to add an additional driver?

We offer a second driver option at no additional cost to you. This means that you can share driving duties with another authorized driver at no extra charge.

How can I book a car online?

Simply start by filling in the required information on our user-friendly booking platform. By using our online booking system, your reservation is automatically confirmed, providing you with a hassle-free and convenient way to secure your rental car.

Will I receive a confirmation of my reservation?

We will send a confirmation email to the address you provided upon the successful completion of your reservation. This email will serve as proof of your booking and will contain important information such as the rental dates, pickup location, and rental car details. You can also use this email as a reference in case you need to modify or cancel your reservation.

What happens if I do not show up on the specified pick-up date and time? Is there any charge?

If you do not show up at the specified pick-up date and time without prior cancellation or fail to comply with the rental terms, a No Show/Lost Rental Charge may be imposed. This charge will recover our administration costs and compensate us for our inability to rent the vehicle that was reserved for your use. The amount of this charge will be equal to two rental days based on the prices at the time of the rental period. We encourage you to cancel your reservation in advance if you are unable to pick up the vehicle on the specified date and time to avoid any additional charges.

What is the policy on off-road driving?

Our vehicles are designed to be used on asphalt roads and are intended to be operated only on regularly maintained roads. For safety reasons and to protect the condition of our vehicles, driving on beaches or salt lake areas is strictly prohibited. We have a zero-tolerance policy for off-road use, as this is in violation of our rental agreement. We kindly ask that you adhere to our policies to ensure a safe and enjoyable rental experience.

What happens if I return the car earlier?

If you decide to return the car earlier than the agreed-upon delivery date, please note that there will be no refund or partial refund provided. This means that the rental fee for the entire agreed-upon rental period will still apply, even if you return the car earlier than expected. We recommend that you carefully plan your rental period to ensure that you make the most out of your rental experience.
